A good start for the Kleinmond retro-bolting
mission.
All photos by Mark Johnston
Although prematurely ended by dead drill batteries,
the Kleinmond rebolting mission that took place
last weekend went extremely well. The turn out
was good and the enthusiasm plentiful which, in
light of the recent bolt failure that took place
there, didn't come a moment too soon.
All the work took place at the Zucchini Wall
so the routes that now boast shiny new bolts that
are just dying to be fell / hung on are...(looking

Bankok Betty (22)
Zuchini (19)
Spoons (19)
Lady Boys (16, only top 3 bolts)
Please note that altough the top chains as well
as the bolt beneath them have been replaced on
Lady Boys (16), the bottom bolts are still the
old school versions.
Many thanks again to Andy Davies for being the
steam in the ARF engine, and a special thanks
to Dave and Patricia for bringing the tea!

The combination of a little too much sun
and a large powertool went straight to my
head. |
