How you can help to make our Mountain SAFE.
- Andrew Lewis (MCSA)
As Easter weekend rapidly approaches and we aim to make it an INCIDENT FREE WEEKEND, we are looking to our fellow mountain users to sign-in and help make a difference. We will be deploying teams along the range to man observation posts... keeping an eye open for any suspicious characters and activity.
The shifts are as follows:
- Thursday 5 April: 15:00 - dark
- Friday 6 April: 15:00 - dark
- Saturday 7 April: 15:00 - dark
- Sunday 8 April: 15:00 - dark
- Monday 9 April: 15:00 - dark
You will be deployed with radio contact to rapid deployment teams who are fully trained safety personnel and will take care of the "in person" activities if required... keeping you as far away from any form of activity that may [but hopefully won't] occur.
There will be a full briefing session held prior to the deployment, giving all the relevant and required information to make the shifts as successful as possible.
We know that some are running the Two Oceans, others are away… but if we all step up to the plate and take a shift or two we can make a BIG difference here.
