Freak accident ends fatally at Silvermine.
A freak accident at silvermine ended with a 23 year old climber fatally wounded.
The Durbanville climber, who's name has not yet been released,
was said to have been bouldering at Silvermine when he was hit in the head by a large boulder. He fell five metres and landed on a ledge.
A docor from the Red Cross Air Mercy Service was dispatched by a police helicopter immediately, but the climber had already passed away by the time they arrived.
The incident is being viewed thus far as isolated in nature, and very unlikely to be repeated.
